NUTRITION TIPS

Daisy

Regular exercise is so important in maintaining a healthy body and lifestyle, however the food we eat has the largest impact on how we look and feel. Eating the right foods for our body allows us to battle illness, maximise physical fitness, reduce body fat percentage, and look after our mental health. On our team we have qualified nutrition coaches that can work with you on a personal level with food in order to help you look and feel your best, but in the meantime we have provided some basic guidelines to follow if you are struggling with your diet.

  • Fill up on nutrient dense foods. These are mostly wholefoods which are not processed, including: lean proteins, fruit and vegetables, nuts, seeds and wholegrains.
  • Vary your diet. Look after your gut and include an array of different foods. Try and consume a variety of different coloured fruit and vegetables, to help ensure that you are obtaining a full range of vitamins and minerals.
  • Opt for wholegrains. Avoid refined carbohydrates and choose brown rice, bulgur, quinoa and oats. Wholegrains have been proven to “reduce the risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, obesity, and some forms of cancer.”
  • Make sure you are hydrated. Drink at least 2 -3 litres a day, especially if you are exercising. Avoid sugary drinks and alcohol, and try to monitor your caffeine intake.
